We pool our skills and knowledge so that we can offer the very best service.
OUR HISTORY
Valley Farm Animal Hospital was opened in 1995 by Dr Tim Krafft.
Dr Dean De Kock joined Dr Tim shortly afterwards in 1996.
Together their vision was to become the industry leader in South African veterinary health care.
They have worked very hard at this, introducing a 24 hour emergency service, continuously improving the hospital facilities and increasing the range and quality of services offered at the practice.
The practice serves local Pretoria East pet owners and also takes referrals from all over Southern Africa for specialist procedures and care.
From fairly humble beginnings the hospital has grown to a 2100 m² state of the art animal hospital, featuring facilities you would normally associate with a human hospital such as:
- Laboratory,
- CT machine,
- Critical care unit,
- Operating theatre suite and
- Comfortable climate-controlled wards to mention a few.

We have a large team at Valley Farm, all of which are animal lovers with a passion for pets and desire to help and educate their owners.
Many of our veterinarians are specialists or have a special interest in an aspect of veterinary medicine.
The veterinarians are supported by a dedicated team of Veterinary Nurses and Animal Health Technicians who take on the care of the inpatients as well as other more specialised nursing roles.
The practice is staffed around the clock and is the only private veterinary practice in Pretoria to offer full on-site veterinary care.
