How can we help?

Dental care

Just like humans, our pets are vulnerable to gum disease and problems with their teeth. Dental disease results in many pets unnecessarily suffering tooth loss, gum infection, and pain. We have the most up-to-date dental equipment to carry out any dental procedures your pet may require, and our staff will be able to provide you with some information, tips, and products on how to help prevent dental disease.

Intestinal Worms

All pets should be dewormed at least three a year to help keep them happy and healthy and us and our family safe. Puppies and Kittens should be dewormed every month for the first few months of their lives and every three months when adults. Just ask us what would be best for your furry friend.

Desexing

There are many reasons to de-sex your dog or cat; from unwanted litters to harmful diseases. The most common age to desex your pet is between 6 and 8 months, however, they are never too old to be desexed. Let’s talk about what is best for your pet and let us give you the knowledge to help you make the best decision for them.

Emergency Care

Sometimes emergencies happen. We know your pets are important to you, so we will always do our best in these situations. That is why we are open 24/7 and there is always someone to help you, with at least one vet in the hospital at all times.
We have the only Emergency and Critical Care Specialist vet in the country. Dr Gareth and his team are on call 24/7

Nutrition

Good nutrition is very important for healthy growth and to maintain a healthy body. Your pet relies on you for everything in life and feeding them well, and keeping them slim and healthy is one of the most important things that you can do. We can help you choose the right food, especially for pets with medical conditions and give advice and tips to keep him happy and healthy.

Microchipping

If your pet is not microchipped please give us a call to make an appointment to have one implanted. If you find a lost pet please call us to arrange a scan, we can reunite microchipped pets with their worried owners.

Physcial care

Physical Care

We do more than simply treat your pet; we care for their life, from birth to old age. Prevention is always best , which is why we are here for the little things like vaccinations, quality pet foods, tick and flea prevention and dewormers.

Surgery

Our vets’ have a high level of expertise and our practice’s fully equipped surgical suite allows us to perform the vast majority of surgical procedures that your pet may require. Many advanced surgeries are done in the hospital, and our staff on there 24/7 to take care of them.

Vaccinations

It is essential that all pets are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Puppies & kittens need their initial course of vaccinations, and adult dogs & cats require regular vaccination to maintain immunity against disease. Rabbits require a yearly vaccination to protect them (and wild rabbits and hares) from the fatal disease RHD.

Senior Pets

Dogs and cats over the age of 7 years are considered senior pets. Age related changes occur in pets just as they do in us. Many of these can be treated or managed to allow your senior pet to have a healthy pain free life. Our senior pet clinics include a full clinical examination and lab tests to allow us to assess your pets health and needs.

Ticks and Fleas

We stock a wide range of treatments against fleas and ticks. These parasites can cause disease and discomfort to our pets, and to us as well! Some of these diseases can be fatal. With our temperate climate it is strongly recommended to use your tick & flea treatments all year round. Prevention is better than cure!
