Dr Etienne Basson BVSc MSc

Dr Etienne Basson is a resident Anaesthetist at Valley Farm Animal Hospital.

He qualified from the Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria in 2016. He completed his clinical community service year in Kwaggafontein, Mpumalanga during 2017. After his community service year he was a veterinarian at Broederstroom veterinary clinic in Hartbeespoort from 2018 – 2020 where he was exposed to various animal species. During this period he was also the veterinarian for Vulpro Vulture rescue.

Dr Etienne acquired his MSc degree in veterinary science in 2019. Whilst at Broederstroom Veterinary clinic he developed a special interest in pharmacology, physiology and emergency medicine and decided to pursue a career in anaesthesiology
